I was supposed to be a marine biologist.

 

Even got a fancy degree and a government job. But it turns out I love writing too much.

 

I’ve been writing creatively since grade school, never thinking it’d be anything more than a hobby. Then I landed a job in a marketing agency and spent five years as a copywriter. It was an incredible opportunity to strengthen my wordsmithing with all kinds of copy using all kinds of voices.

 

That work put a lot in perspective for me. I discovered my passion lies in crafting and consuming stories. Brand stories, novels, D&D adventures – it doesn’t matter. As long as there are interesting characters and compelling plots.
